How Deteqted collects, uses and protects personal information, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
This website, deteqted.com, is operated by Deteqted Pty Ltd (ABN 50 167 691 509) (“Deteqted”, “we”, “us”), located in Melbourne, Victoria. We respect and protect the privacy of our users. This policy explains how we collect and use personal information in line with the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), which can be found on the OAIC website.
“Personal information” means any information from which your identity is apparent or can reasonably be ascertained. We do not collect personal information about you when you browse this website, and you can use it without telling us who you are.
Scope
This policy covers this website and Deteqted’s consulting services. ControlDesk, our software platform, has its own privacy policy at controldesk.com.au/privacy.
Enquiry form
If you use the enquiry form on our contact page, we collect the details you enter (name, work email, organisation, role, topic and message) together with your IP address, which we use only to prevent abuse. We use these details to respond to your enquiry and follow up about it. They are stored in Australia (Amazon Web Services, Sydney region), sent to our team by email, and kept for up to two years. You will receive an automatic email confirming we received your enquiry.
Other information we collect
If you contact us by email, we collect your email address and any other details you provide. Please do not send us sensitive information. When we provide services, we collect what we need to deliver them — typically your name, contact details, job title, company and ABN, and payment details where required — for service delivery, support, billing and reporting.
How we use your information
We use your personal information to respond to you and deliver our services. We take an opt-in approach to marketing and will seek your permission before adding you to any promotional list. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any promotional email.
Disclosure to third parties
We do not share personal information with third parties, except:
- as part of agreed requirements for the contracted delivery of our services to you; or
- with service providers that host our systems or deliver our email, solely for those purposes.
Access and accuracy
We keep information as up to date as possible, and will provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you on request.
Security
We protect the personal information we control from loss, misuse and alteration, including through encryption, authenticated access, backups, audits of procedures and regular reviews of overall security.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. It loads no content from third-party services. Links to other websites, such as LinkedIn and ControlDesk, are governed by those sites’ own privacy policies.
